We had a wonderful time at our summer BBQ, with over 65 people who came out to enjoy spending time with the Jewish community! A special thank you to Phil Steinberg for the speakers and to Rick Griminger for manning the grill!!

We had a beautiful Kosher Deli Picnic in honor of Lag B’Omer at Lincoln Park! It was very nice that over 80 people came to enjoy the great deli sandwiches. The Lag B’Omer bonfire was very exciting, especially roasting marshmallows at the end of the event to make delicious s’mores.

In response to the deadly shooting in a California synagogue which claimed the life of one worshipper and wounded three others, Chabad of Springfield, in conjunction with the Jewish Federation and the JCRC, organized an “Evening of Jewish Unity, Solidarity, and Prayer”.

It was an honor to be invited by Governor JB Pritzker and First Lady MK Pritzker, to partake in the Model Seder at the Governor's Mansion!

We had a beautiful 'Soup, Salad & Scotch in the Sukkah' event with an array of delicious soups, a beautiful salad bar, accompanied by freshly squeezed drinks.

We are so happy to share that the second Mitzvah campaign (out of 10) has been successfully completed!

On Sunday, just a few months after moving to Springfield, we enjoyed a beautiful summer backyard BBQ with over 65 people in attendance. The community enjoyed a buffet of kosher hotdogs, hamburgers and shish kabobs followed by a sweet table of desserts. Many Jews had the opportunity to put on Tefillin, while enjoying the Hakhel gathering.
