Despite the challenging weather, we had an amazing time at the public Menorah lighting at White Oaks Mall Thursday, the fifth night of Chanukah! With people braving the freezing cold and heavy snowstorm to attend in person, and many more watching on the live stream, it was a truly special event.
We were honored to have Manny Faingold, who represents the Jewish youth and their importance to the future of our community, serve as this year's "Honorary Lamplighter". We also want to express our gratitude to Mayor Jim Langfelder for honoring the Jewish community with his presence and holiday greetings.
A big thank you to Phil Steinberg for providing the sound system, allowing us all to enjoy the beautiful Chanukah music, and to Yisroel-Steve Rambach for capturing great pictures that help us remember all the fun we had.
We also want to extend a special thank you to Starbucks for sponsoring the coffee – hot drinks were especially appreciated in the cold weather.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and for braving the weather to join us in celebrating the holiday. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
